Warranty

When you grab something from SmartPlay Audio, shop with pretty solid confidence, knowing we back our products with real warranty coverage. This Warranty Policy kind of spells out what’s covered, how long the coverage hangs around, and what you should do if you actually need to make a claim. It covers every product you purchase through our website or in our store. We use Shopify for the checkout and order system, so your purchase and warranty details should stay secure on their side.

If anything in this Warranty Policy ends up clashing with our Terms of Service, then this Warranty Policy wins for anything warranty-related, no question.

Please take a moment to read through it. By using our Services, you agree you’ve read and understood how we handle warranties and claims.

What Is Covered

Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, as long as you used the product normally, during the warranty period starting from your purchase date. The exact length depends on what you bought and it shows on the product page, or again in your order confirmation.

Usually, our warranties are along these lines:

  1. Electronics and Audio Equipment: 12 months, from the purchase date.

  2. Accessories and Cables: 6 months, from the purchase date.

  3. Refurbished or Clearance Items: 3 months, from the purchase date, unless we state something else.

During the warranty period, we’ll repair or swap the product if it turns out defective due to manufacturing faults, or material issues. We cover the parts and labor needed to fix the thing. If repair or replacement isn’t possible, we may instead offer a refund , or store credit.

What Is Not Covered

Our warranty doesn’t cover everything. The items below are generally excluded:

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, drops, spills, or anything from improper handling.

  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, or cosmetic issues that don’t really affect how the product works.

  • Damage from using the product with incompatible accessories, incorrect power sources, or using it in settings not recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Products that were opened, altered, or repaired by someone other than SmartPlay Audio, or our authorized service providers.

  • Lost or stolen products.

  • Products bought from unauthorized sellers, second-hand markets, or auction sites.

  • Consumable items like batteries, unless they fail because of a manufacturing defect while the warranty period is still active.

If you’re not sure whether your situation counts, just reach out at Smartplayaudio@gmail.com or +64225101234, and we’ll help you sort it out.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you think your product is defective and covered, do the following:

1)Contact us within the warranty period: Email Smartplayaudio@gmail.com, or call +64225101234. Include your order number, product details, and a quick description of the problem.

2) Show proof of purchase: We need your order number plus your receipt, invoice, or similar proof, to confirm the warranty coverage.

3) Follow our instructions: We might ask for photos or videos, or we may ask you to ship it in for inspection. If a return is needed, we’ll pay you back for your courier cost into your bank account.

4) Wait for our assessment: Once we receive it, our team inspects it to confirm the defect and pick the best next step.

5) Get your resolution: If approved, we’ll repair, replace, or refund the product, as described in this policy.

We typically process warranty claims within 5–10 business days after we receive your product. If the case is more complicated, it can take longer, and we’ll update you along the way.

Warranty Period and Start Date

Your warranty period starts when you receive your order, not when you place it. That way you’re covered right away from the moment you begin using the product.

If you purchase something as a gift, the warranty still starts on the original delivery date. Keep your order confirmation or receipt, since it’s useful proof of purchase later if you need to file a claim.

Warranty Transferability

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and can’t be transferred to a new person. If you sell, or pass along the product, the warranty doesn’t transfer to the new owner. We do this so claims are submitted by the person who originally bought the product from us.

If you received the item as a gift and want to make a claim, the original purchaser may need to contact us on your behalf, or provide proof of purchase so we can verify.

How We Use Your Information for Warranty Claims

When you file a warranty claim, we collect and use your personal information to process and resolve that claim. This can include your name, contact details, order information, and product details. We use it to:

  • verify your identity and purchase

  • check your warranty claim and confirm what’s covered

  • communicate with you about your claim status and outcome

  • share details with service providers or manufacturers to repair or replace your product

  • meet any legal or tax duties tied to warranties

We may share your information with Shopify, service providers, manufacturers, and other partners that help with warranty claims. They’ll use your information under their own privacy policies, and only to handle your claim.
